Why Complementary Therapy?

Kinesiology is a complementary therapy. People choose to use complementary therapies alongside other therapies and strategies to enhance and aid in achieving their desired outcome as it:

  • Looks at the whole person not just the ‘dis-ease’ or symptom
  • They understand the inability for their body to help heal itself due to the body being out of balance and possibly in a state of stress.
  • They use it as an ongoing way to achieve and maintain good health and vitality
  • They want to be empowered to be able to help themselves and have choice
  • They have had limited success with mainstream assistance
  • It gives them more energy and direction to perform everyday tasks
“we must understand that to heal and become more balanced also takes time.”

The human body is amazing. It replenishes and rejuvenates itself daily. It is constantly working, growing and changing inside and out. It has systems and processes in place to function effectively and efficiently to nurture, protect and heal itself.

Our bodies also have an amazing warning system; however we tend to ignore the subtle signs and not notice until the body is screaming. This can often be too late resulting in reoccurring injury, poor immune system, mental health issues or a life-challenging illness. Only then, when the major alarms are ringing do we seem to do something about it and possibly begin to look further into the why.

The body and mind grow and learn overtime. The ‘dis-ease’ also occurs over time therefore we must understand that to heal and become more balanced also takes time. There is no ‘quick-fix’ or ‘universal pill’ for all. We may all be created equal, but we are all on our own journey in our own time.
